New York Rangers Team Publications

Since the 2013-14 season, Anthony has assisted the Rangers Public Relations department in the development of their publications throughout each season.  Rangers team publications include the team media guide, yearbook and the official game program, Broadway Blue.  Anthony provides brand direction to the designers who create bio and divider page templates with distinct imagery used for the game program and media guides.  Under his direction, the design team revises the graphic identity of the book to maintain brand elements without repeating previous designs.  The identity is shared with Public Relations who populate the design with the necessary stats and reporting for the upcoming season.  Anthony allocates the internal advertising inventory within the book across Rangers departments creating ads to help promote their programs.  Products featured in these advertisements include team digital and social outlets, revenue generating events such as youth hockey camp and fan development vehicles, team philanthropic efforts and fundraising platforms.

The yearbook is a full team pictorial released annually in December.  Anthony works with the design team to develop a concept for the book and contracted photographer Andrew Eccles brings it to life through dynamic lighting and varying props.  The photos are the focal point of each yearbook and Anthony manages the design process within the print production schedule to ensure prompt delivery of book to drive sales during the holiday season.  In the 2014-15 yearbook, Anthony worked to elevate the book with a 8 page team spread / pull out poster, which was well received by the Blueshirt Faithful.

In addition to the media guide, game program, and yearbook, Anthony has helped Public Relations development of supplemental game day and weekly reports.  His vision has led to the creation of templated reports created by the Rangers internal design team that allows Public Relations staff to populate content and images to deliver team and prospect stats to members of the media.  These reports include pre-and post-game reports, prospect reports, and week in reviews.
